Hi everyone! My name is Brittany, my pronouns are she/her/hers and this is where I will be keeping everyone updated about my travels. I am a junior anthropology major at the University of New Hampshire, studying abroad at DIS Copenhagen for the semester. My core course is Prostitution and the Sex Trade, and I will be taking three other classes; Holocaust and Genocide, Human Trafficking in a Global Context, and Pornography in Scandinavia. I am also living in a Homestay in Allerød, Denmark with a family of four and a sweet black cat.
My hobbies are interesting and kind of all over the place. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock and Game of Thrones with everything in me. I practice yoga, I read constantly and there is nothing I love more in this world than a good cup of coffee. If I don’t talk about coffee briefly in at least every other blog post then there is probably something wrong. I volunteer at an anti-human trafficking coffee shop and I have perfected a latte and a matcha latte which makes me very happy. As a barista, it is important to love learning about others and I could listen to life stories for hours on end. I cannot wait to discover a new culture and learn about the lifestyle in Denmark.
